Indian Motorcycle Sport Scout tuning

Indian Motorcycle Sport Scout, 2025: this model is on the HP Tuners list that PNP TUNE verified on 11 September 2026. Reading, calibration and programming are done remotely, with the RTD4 interface and TDN. The 180 km/h limiter goes and torque arrives lower in the rev range.

PNP TUNE checks this compatibility model year by model year, never assumed from another machine in the range. Worth knowing before you order: this machine’s Bosch MG1 ECU must first be unlocked by HP Tuners, an extra step ahead of the first read.

  3. 03

    RTD4 with a different cable

    The calibration plus the HP Tuners cable for the machine (€55). Only an HP Tuners cable is accepted, no cable from another brand, even a cheaper one.

This model first needs the Bosch MG1 ECU unlock (€100): the ECU goes to HP Tuners, comes back unlocked, then everything is done remotely.

04 / Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3

The tune follows the part.

A freer exhaust, an open filter: the ECU of your Sport Scout still applies the values calculated for the stock exhaust. The Stage 1 you are after is that part plus the calibration that goes with it. Stage 2, 3 or 4, camshafts, displacement, injectors or heads: that is Custom Remote territory, with datalogging.

Indian names its own “Stage 1” kits: exhaust, intake, and the calibration that makes them work together. An Arlen Ness intake on a Thunderstroke or an S&S Stealth on a Scout opens the airflow: the tune is what turns it into a result.

05 / Remote

Remotely, in four steps.

    Connect

    Plug the RTD4 interface and the HP Tuners cable into the machine.

  2. 02

    Read

    Identify the machine and read it from where it is parked.

  3. 03

    PNP calibrates

    The read travels through TDN. PNP TUNE builds the calibration for the recorded setup.

  4. 04

    Program

    The file comes back into the app. The calibration is programmed following the guided procedure.

With Custom Remote the loop continues: ride, send the data, PNP analysis, refinement if needed.

Yes. It is on the HP Tuners list that PNP TUNE verified on 11 September 2026. Choose the exact year when ordering: the calibration is tied to the model, the year and the ECU.

02Which HP Tuners cable for a Sport Scout?

E5 cable, red connector

03Street Remote or Custom Remote for a Sport Scout?

Street Remote for a stock or Stage 1 machine: the limiter goes and torque is unleashed, from a calibration proven on comparable setups. Custom Remote when the build goes further or when you want a tune built on your machine’s own data, with datalogging and remote adjustments.

04Do I have to send the ECU?

This model first needs the Bosch MG1 ECU unlock (€100): the ECU goes to HP Tuners, comes back unlocked, then everything is done remotely.

05Are the factory safeties kept?

Yes. PNP TUNE disables neither the engine protections nor the factory emissions functions. The work covers the agreed calibration parameters, inside the ECU tables.
