06 / Frequently asked questions
Polaris: the answers before you choose.
These answers sum up the scope, the conditions and the follow-up of the tune by PNP TUNE.
01Have you fitted an exhaust or a filter?
An HMF, RJWC, Trinity Racing or GGB Exhaust system, a K&N filter or an S&B engine pre-filter change how the machine fills. The tune has to follow: Custom Remote works from your data logs to match that precise setup.
02Is the factory speed limiter removed?
Yes. Removal of the factory speed limiter is included in the Street Remote and Custom Remote tunes: a quad or a side-by-side limited to 60 or 90 km/h is unrestricted from the first level.
03Which Polaris can PNP TUNE tune?
PNP TUNE studies the Polaris fuel-injected petrol ranges from 2014 to 2026. Support is confirmed with the exact model, model year, engine, market, software and ECU; carburetted, diesel, electric and Youth vehicles are checked separately.
04Which Polaris ECUs are concerned?
The coverage shown includes the Bosch ME17.9.74, M17.8.7 and MG1CA007. All 54 Polaris entries in the catalogue can be done in Remote TDN; 6 of them first require the Bosch MG1 ECU unlock.
05Do the emissions equipment and the safeguards stay active?
Yes: PNP TUNE disables neither the emissions devices nor the original engine protections. The work covers the calibration parameters agreed upon, inside the ECU tables.
06What happens after a Polaris update?
A manufacturer update can overwrite the calibration. For ten years PNP TUNE covers, free of charge, the follow-up of the tune, its restoration to the recorded setup and the reapplication of the tuning. The installer may charge 30 minutes to 1 hour of labour. This guarantee covers the tune, not the mechanics of the vehicle.
07RZR Pro R 2023: which PNP TUNE solution?
Select the exact entry in the catalogue: it shows the interface, the included HP Tuners credit pool, the cable and any unlock. On MG1CA007 Gen 2 ECUs, the unlock service (100 €) prepares the ECU before the first read; Street Remote or Custom Remote then runs remotely.
08Sportsman 570 or Ranger 1000 used for work: Street or Custom?
Street Remote (600 € pack) suits a standard machine on which you want a more progressive response and more torque low down. Custom Remote (880 €) becomes necessary with accessories or a particular use: the data logs recorded on site serve to refine the tune.
09I already own an RTD4: can I buy the Polaris tune on its own?
Yes. Street Remote (350 €) or Custom Remote (630 €), HP Tuners credit pool included, with the Polaris / Indian OBDII cable (55 €) if needed. The RTD4 serial number and the VIN complete the order, even if the interface was bought elsewhere.
010How does the unlock of an MG1CA007 ECU work?
After the order you ship the ECU to HP Tuners Europe with your PNP TUNE order number on the parcel. Allow for the round trip and the processing, in practice one to two weeks, before the read and the tune.
011How long between the order and the flashing?
Once the read arrives through TDN, Street Remote is usually ready within 24 to 48 working hours; Custom Remote takes a few days more depending on your data logs.
012Can I move from Street Remote to Custom Remote later?
Yes. The upgrade (333 €) keeps your RTD4, your cable and the HP Tuners credit pool already tied to the vehicle, and adds data logging with its step-by-step adjustments.
013I am selling my Polaris: can I put the original setup back?
Yes, free of charge: the setup recorded before the tuning is restored with the RTD4. Follow-up on the tune stays covered for ten years for that vehicle.
014I am a Polaris dealer or a workshop: how do I work with PNP TUNE?
Through the HP Tuners dealer network: read in the workshop with a professional interface, exchange through TDN and PNP tune. Write to tune@pnptune.com with your business name and your country.
